Method, a leading provider of inventory management and procurement software for the dental industry, announced it has successfully achieved SOC 2 Type II compliance. The milestone follows the company's SOC 2 Type I attestation and provides independent verification that Method's security controls are operating effectively over time.
SOC 2, developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), is an independent auditing framework used to evaluate an organization's information systems and controls. Where a Type I examination validates the design of those controls at a point in time, a Type II examination tests how consistently they operate across an extended review period, making it the more rigorous of the two standards.
"Achieving SOC 2 Type II compliance is the strongest independent signal we can give our customers that security is built into how we operate every day." said William Doyle, CTO of Method. "Dental practices, DSOs, and GPOs trust us with critical business information, and this attestation confirms the controls protecting that information are working exactly as intended."
As dental organizations increasingly rely on cloud-based solutions to streamline operations and reduce costs, the importance of partnering with vendors who prioritize security has never been greater. Method's SOC 2 Type II attestation assures customers that their procurement data, vendor information, and operational details are protected by security controls that have been independently tested in practice. Method will continue to maintain its SOC 2 compliance through ongoing annual examinations.
